I’m not one to lend opinion on reviews, but feel compelled by UFO’s “Force It”. One of Rock’s most underrated Rock Bands ever, UFO delivers Force It in 1975 with some of the absolute best guitar riffs you’ll ever find on one album. Listen, and you’ll hear why Michael Schenker’s guitar playing simply blows away that of his brother Rudi, of The Scorpions. “Force It” is chalk full of driving Rock classics; Shoot Shoot, Let it Roll, Mother Mary & Out in the Street to name a few. Turn up the volume and listen...you’ll find yourself, like me, asking “How did UFO not conquer the Rock world?” Force It...worth every penny of your hard-earned money.
UFO force the issue.
Force It was the album where UFO decided they were a hard rock band. Phenomenon (which is my favorite UFO album) had three acoustic ballads and this album only has one, High Flyer, which is a fine ballad. Other favorite songs are Let It Roll, Shoot Shoot, Mother Mary and the end of This Kid's, which is titled Between The Walls. I would have to say Between The Walls is my all time favorite UFO song, partly because it's so different than anything on the album. The only two songs I can do without are Out In The Street and Dance Your Life Away, which is why I give this album four stars instead of five. Still, this is one of my favorite UFO albums and Michael Schenker is his usual brilliant self.
